Baccarat Calculator

Baccarat comes across as a little intimidating for the uninitiated, but after a small amount of time getting used to the game it quickly becomes easy to follow and a lot of fun.

In simple terms it is a game of betting, all you have to do is decide how many chips you want to invest in the game and then pick where to place them.

How the Baccarat Calculator Works

Much like roulette, baccarat is a game that relies on luck rather than strategy and there are no winning formulas to get you ahead of the game.

Despite this, however, the Baccarat calculator will give you all the probabilities and tell you the likelihood of particular cards coming up based on how many decks are in play for that game.

There is a handy chart that tells you the exact probability of cards coming up based on the player and banker’s cards and what they draw.

How the Game Works

Baccarat is one of the best games for punters at a casino, with the house edge being just 1.04% over the players. It is a fast flowing card game that is a straight battle between player and dealer.

To start the game, players head to the table and place a bet on which of the three outcomes will win: your hand, the banker’s hand, or a tie.

If you bet on your own hand winning the round and this turns out to be what happens you will receive a payout of 1:1.

If you place a bet on the banker’s hand wining and and this turns out to be what happens you will also receive a payout of 1:1. In this case, however, you will have to pay the house a 5% commission on your winnings from the Banker’s hands.

If you bet on a tie and this turns out to be what happens you will receive a payout of 8:1, occasionally 9:1, however, has a 14% edge over the player.

When bets are made, the dealer will draw two or three cards for the player's hand and two or three cards for the Banker’s hand. The winner is the closest hand to 9.

The king, queens, jack cards as well as the ten number cards are worth ten while aces are worth one. All the number cards count as their numbers.

If a hand exceeds a total of 10, then 10 is then subtracted from the hand. An example of this if you are drawn a hand of 9 and 6, you end with a total of 5 (15 minus 10).

If the opening 2 cards of the Player hand end with a total between zero and 5 then the Player hand gets a third card. If the Player total after the opening 2 cards totals 6 or 7 they do not get a third card.

The same rules apply to The Banker who receives a third card if the total is between zero and 5, and stands on 6 or a 7.
