In truth, Baccarat is a game that relies on chance rather than strategy. However, the Baccarat calculator will tell you the likelihood of a particular card coming up next, based on how many decks are in play for that game. As a bonus, there’s also a chart that tells you the exact probability of one card coming up based on another card coming up for the opposite hand.

Baccarat is played with standard decks of cards, up to 8. There will be two hands dealt: one is called the Player Hand and the other is called the Dealer Hand. The Player Hand doesn’t belong to the Player nor does the Dealer Hand belong to the Dealer; that’s just what they’re called. c
Players have to choose whether they think the Player Hand will win, whether the Dealer Hand will win, or whether it will be a tie, once the hand’s final values have been counted up. If you decide to bet on the Player Hand winning, it’s a straight even money payout if it wins. Betting on the Dealer Hand is a bit more complex.
Because of the mechanics of the game, the Dealer Hand is slightly more likely to win than the Player Hand. As a result, the payout on a winning Dealer Hand isn’t 100% the value of your bet but rather 95% the value of your bet. The third betting option is to bet on the tie. Here you’re betting that once the Player and Dealer Hands are closed after following the Baccarat rules, they’ll be on the same number.
The tie pays out at 8/1. Cards are mostly worth their face value. So, a 2 is worth 2, a 6 is worth 6. Crucially, tens and picture cards are worth 0. Aces are always worth 1. You want the hand you bet on to get as close to 9 as possible. So, if you bet on the Dealer and they were dealt a 5 and a 4, the hand would be 9.
If the hand was dealt a 5 and a 3, it would add up to 8. If either Hand adds up to 8 or 9 it’s called a Natural and no more cards are drawn. If there were two Naturals, a 9 would then beat an 8; or it would be a tie if both hands were 8, or both were 9.
If there are no Naturals after each Hand has been dealt two cards, the rules of Baccarat determine which (or both) of the two hands then draw a third card. Once again, the final values of each hand are counted to see which one wins, or if it’s a tie.
